We all have different views of sleep. Some people view sleep as a form of rest while others see it as a form of wasting time. Here is the thing; Sleep is a necessity that you can’t do without. You might view it as a waste of time until the day you collapse in the middle of your house or work place due to fatigue. The following reasons explain why getting enough sleep is so important.

How long is enough sleep?
Sleep requirements for adults vary from one person to the other. However, most health adults need between 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night to function at their best. Essential oils are commonly used for aromatherapy whereby they are inhaled in various methods. They are used for relieving stress and anxiety,headaches and migraines, sleep and insomnia,reducing inflammation and antibiotic and antimicrobial aid depending on the type and essential oil blend.
In this post, I will focus on essential oils that will aid in sleep and insomnia by giving you deep sleep. Which are the best essential oils to use for deep sleep?
Lavender is distilled from Lavandula angustifolia which is a multipurpose oil. It promotes relaxation and is believed to treat anxiety,fungal infections,allergies,depression,insomnia, eczema ,nausea and menstrual cramps. It is purported to have anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, antidepressant, antiseptic, antibacterial and sedative effects.
A 2015 study published in the Journal of Complementary and Alternative Medicine found a combination of sleep hygiene techniques and lavender essential oil therapy helped college students get a better night’s sleep than sleep hygiene alone.The study of 79 students with self-reported sleep problems also found inhaling lavender at bedtime improved daytime energy and vibrancy.
You can use it as a diffuser blends by simply adding oils to your diffuser with 1 cup of water. Consider mix a few drops of lavender oil into your bathwater or sprinkle a few drops on your pillow before you go to bed. However, when applied to skin, it may be allergic to some people.
